About Me
My name is Marco Recalde and my background is deeply rooted in the scientific method as I have spent most of my life as a quality control scientist and chemist. It is not sufficient enough to do a quick and sloppy job but to lead with the best scientific method conforming to guidelines to produce quality products.
As an exercise physiologist with a Master’s degree I’ve trained military personnel, soccer players, basketball and football players to improve their cardiovascular status and agility so they can excel in their respective game. I’ve trained athletes for 10 years, seniors for another 10 years and currently training folks with Parkinson’s Disease for the last 5 years either 1-on-1, couples or in groups.
I’m in the business of helping people, to help them become the best version of themselves and unearth the impossible by encouraging their confidence and empowering their bodies. In a nutshell I aspire to inspire seniors and people with Parkinson’s Disease. I inspire them to be all they can be with boxing skills as a means to coordinate and connect their upper and lower body. As a coach I’m continuously seeking to enhance their superpowers by pressing them to work on their balance, coordination, agility, strength and ultimately prevent falls. There are no boundaries….you just get better.
What is my North Star? As a triathlete I’m perseverant and I’ve worked on my weakness which was swimming and now it is my strongest leg and do not fear water any more. In fact I’ve morphed to become a competitive swimmer. Likewise I believe in people and what they can accomplish given a little nudge with kudos and encouragement. My values have much to do with doing a job right the first time so that it does not have to be repeated and save time and money in the process. My belief and aspirations are that in this era we need to constantly evolve and learn both with scientific method and our brains so that we can retool
our thinking and revamp our bodies. Never trained? Give it a try. Set goals, short term and long-term.
Now is the 1st day of the rest of your life.
